By: mirna |The Jornada 6 of the Mexican League is upon us. Tomorrow (Saturday), we’ll have some great matches to look forward to. Personally, I am looking forward to UNAM finally getting a win. It is due. I am also interested in the Guadalajara/UANL match. Chivas has had a decent beginning to […]
Is There a Doctor in the House?
By: mirna |Last night, I was watching “Futbol Picante” on ESPN Deportes and the panel was discussing the issue of medical staff availability at the different stadiums through Mexico. It felt like they read my mind, because since Antonio Puerta’s passing, I’ve been wondering, is there enough medical staff and/or a way to deal a situation […]
Here Comes El Tri 2.0
By: mirna |MNT Manager, Hugo Sanchez, has released the player’s roster that will face Panama and Brazil in September. As I mentioned yesterday, Rafa Marquez is not part of this team as Hugo looks to give other players an opportunity to play for El Tri. Some of these guys come from the U-17 team as well […]

That was a tough game for me […]
Not So Fast Tuzos

The Tuzos were […]
Nery Castillo Debuts in the Champions League (Well Sort of)
By: mirna |I got to admit that I am not the biggest Nery Castillo fan. I just never really gotten that excited over him as others have but I love talent and I am glad everytime I see it. Nery had a very nice game with a goal (it was a penalty kick) and a […]
And the SuperLiga is On
By: mirna |After 37 minutes of the first half, Pachuca is leading the Galaxy 1-0. The goal came at the 27th minute from a Christian Gimenez kick that was pushed into the net by the Galaxy’s Peter Vagenas. I felt for Joe Cannon…he was ready to kick Vagenas but it would have been goal regardless, […]
Holy Perfection…Santos Wins 2-1
By: mirna |The Apertura 2007 continues to be a great season for Santos. They certainly did not disappoint today with an exciting win over Chivas at their home in Torreon and keeping their perfect season intact. Oswaldo Sanchez is probably the happiest man in Torreon right now, as his current team beat his former […]
