And the SuperLiga is On

After 37 minutes of the first half, Pachuca is leading the Galaxy 1-0. The goal came at the 27th minute from a Christian Gimenez kick that was pushed into the net by the Galaxy’s Peter Vagenas. I felt for Joe Cannon…he was ready to kick Vagenas but it would have been goal regardless, as Vagenas had another Pachuca player right behind him.

To everyone’s shock, David Beckham left the game at the 34th minute after being hit on his right foot. I do feel for David, he looks completely devastated. A player with that kind of attitude always wants to be playing and helping his team. It is just too bad that he gets injured again.

Pachuca was dominating the first half, no question about it. Their scoring chances were a lot more clear than the Galaxy’s but the game has lost a bit of energy since Beckham left.
