Another America Loss, now a resignation
By: Albert | March 31st, 2008
That is right. America lost to Veracruz 4-0 this past weekend and Coach Ruben Omar Romano has turned in his resignation starting in June. So starting in June he is going to let America start a new process and restructure. Romano, who has 18 games without a win in Mexico, 6, with America. Not a very good record and its a wonder he even got hired. I was surprised el Ruso Brailovsky was let go so quick. Brailovsky who I often watch on ESPN Deportes, is a good analyst and I enjoy his point of view on the show Futbol Picante, had a short stint as coach of the Aguilas. Now he is back at ESPN Deportes.
Now we will wait to see who will take over the reigns in Coapa and if there will be any improvement. I would have liked to see Brailovsky in there longer. I never liked Romano, since recently he hasn’t impressed in Cruz Azul or Atlas.
Update/Correction: President of America, Guillermo Cañedo has also resigned. Change is needed and hopefully a good thing.

Now all thats left is the rest of the board to resign. It’s a good start though, I doubt more will resign.
