Givin’ Em Hell

The Red Devils became the first team to advance to the Mexican Liguilla finals by scorching 2006 Clausura champions Pachuca 1-0 (2-1 overall) in Toluca.

Vicente Sánchez took a pass from fellow Toluca striker Bruno Marioni in the 54th minute and uncorked a left-footed shot past Pachuca goalie Miguel Callero. The goal raised Sánchez’s tally to 14 all-time in Liguilla appearances.

Toluca will play either Chivas or America in the finals.
