Marioni: Out!

Looks like Toluca’s Bruno Marioni is headed to South American powerhouse Boca Juniors. The talented Argentine, who catapulted the Red Devils to the Aperatura final and Copa Sudamericana semifinals, cited personal reasons for the move.

Marioni led this year’s Aperatura in goals scored, a feat he also accomplished while with UNAM in 2004. Despite this, he never seemed comfortable in Toluca and was often under fan and media scrutiny.

Best wishes, Mr. Marioni, and good luck in the Argentine Primera División.
