New Coach for Atlas
By: mirna | September 25th, 2007
Tomas Boy was named as the new coach of Atlas this past Monday. Boy already coached his first game in Atlas loss to Chiapas over the weekend. Boy has a long road ahead of him to get Atlas to be a winning team again but at least in paper, Atlas is a solid team that might get there with a lot of work.
Tomas Boy ia former player who played his entire career in Mexico. His best years were spent with Tigres. As a coach, he has been with Queretaro, Veracruz, Morelia, Puebla, and Rayados of Monterrey. Coaching has been a struggle for Boy but his reputation is of a disciplinarian, exactly what Atlas needs to get off the bottom and begin winning.
Best of luck to the Tuzos!
