Newswriter, Exposed!?

So this is an interesting tale. On ESPN Deportes, the spanish version of ESPN, (w/o the bowling) there is a show called Futbol Picante. Hector Huerta is on that show many times discussing Mexican Futbol and various hot news items. It gets pretty controversial at times with Jose Ramon and David Faitelson, so the show is pretty entertaining.

Now, apparently on of the users of the Bigsoccer Mexican forum acquires Hecor Huerta’s email address from a public chat session. This BigSoccer user then constructs a false news report in an email and sends it to Huerta. This news was that he sighted Hugo Sanchez speaking with Guillermo Cañedo and playing golf. Cañedo is the ex-president of the Aguilas de America.

Apparently Huerta took the bait and published this article. Now said BigSoccer user is at it again, reporting an alleged Hugo Sanchez sighting in Miami Florida.

So are newswriters just a bunch of gossipy old ladies who look for any reason to write an article? It makes you wonder.
