If you came here looking for the in-depth knowledge provided by the previous blogger….sorry. I’m just a gabacho (if you don’t know what that word means, you soon will). I’m pretty sure the last blogger was Mexican and probably has forgotten more about this league than I will ever learn, but I’m going to try anyway. I hope you won’t judge me too harshly (especially my horrible Spanish)! Any and all input from Mexican fans is more than welcome.
Since this is an English-language blog, I intend to use it to try to educate other folks like me who have an interest in Mexican football, but might be intimidated by a lack of Spanish language skill. So if you don’t know your azulcremas from your rebaño sagrado, and you watch matches on Univision with the sound off because the only word you understand is ‘Goooooooooooooooooooool!’, I am here to help.
I will be thoroughly profiling every league team so you can choose a favorite. I will talk about all the players you should know past and present. Perhaps most importantly, I will take every opportunity I get to make fun of Chivas and their fans.
Only joking about that last bit…I am crazy for Club America, but until the Offside overlords let me have my own Aguilas blog, I will remain as objective as possible about a certain team from Guadalajara.
