Pumas Needs a Win

By: mirna | August 27th, 2007

images.jpgI got to admit that Pumas has always been one of my favorite teams in Mexico. When Hugo was coach, things couldn’t be better. Everyone liked being a winner and seeing Kikin score brought tears to Puma’s fans eyes but no more. This season has begun as the previous started. Pumas has not won a game in its last 13 matches and things are not looking up.

Coach Tuca Ferreti said yesterday that the team is sad for the fans because they want to change course and become a winning team again but that they have to keep working hard and the results will come. I understand Tuca and him wanting to keep a positive spin on things and I do agree that against Monterrey they did play well although it was still a loss. I am still hopeful that the team can turn things around.

What do you think?

Pumas is a team that has confidence in their coaches as well as trust. Last season I admit to being ashamed of our horrible defensive style but it got things done and Tuca has adopted a more offensive style. Although I’m kinda said they haven’t won I like their playing style.. it’s only a matter of time.
