Requalification and Liguilla are set to begin
By: Albert | May 5th, 2008Clausura 2007 regular season is at an end. Now the requalification begins between: (games start this Wednesday and Thursday then the 2nd leg over the weekend.)
San Luis vs. Pachuca
Necaxa vs. Atlas
My pics are San Luis and Necaxa, only because Pachuca was just crowned CONCACAF Champs and may be tired at the end of double work, and Atlas still has Libertadores to worry about.
San Luis is a pretty good team as demonstrated by their being able to compete in the hardest group of the 3, along with Cruz Azul and Chivas.
Pachuca barely pulled out a tie vs Pumas on Sunday and only tied because of great work by Columbian goalkeeper Miguel Calero.
This is how the final group standings look. Top two teams from each group qualify directly to the liguilla tournament (bold). The next 4 teams with most points qualify to compete for entry to the liguilla (italics).
