Toluca’s Copa Sudamericana hopes took a serious dive last night after a 3-1 loss to San Lorenzo at the Nuevo Gasómetro Stadium in Buenos Aires.
Goals from Pablo Quatrocchi (17’) and Néstor Silvera (51’, 56′) put the Argentinians in cruise control before Bruno Marioni pulled one back for the Red Devils.
Surprisingly, Toluca coach Americo Gallego is a bit more upbeat after the match than he was before it, and is confident that his Devils can bounce back from tonight’s loss.
San Lorenzo travels to Toluca on November 1 for the second leg of their quarterfinal clash.
