

Tressor the Risk-Taker

Veracruz striker Tressor Moreno wasn’t too pleased with his team’s decision to sit back and defend instead of push ahead and attack last weekend. The Colombian International is convinced that, had his team pressed forward and taken risks, they might’ve come away with three points against Pachuca.
On one of the few occasions the Red Sharks did press forward, Tressor scored — only to have his goal disallowed by the ref.
Veracruz host Cruz Azul this weekend and will be keen to come away with three points. They’re in a three-way deadlock for second place in Group 2, and just a point behind group leaders Atlante. Coach Pedro Monzón is doing some last-minute tinkering in preparation for the clash.
