Weekend Action
By: mirna | September 14th, 2007
This weekend is going to be interesting in the Mexican League. The last few weeks have offered so much drama over what coach is staying, coming or leaving. This week, the talk of the town was Luis Fernando Tena. Some say that he is in his last days with America. We shall see.
The most attractive match to me is going to be the Chivas/Cruz Azul game on Saturday. They are both strong, are doing well this season and both want to win. Definitely watch it if you can. On Sunday, America faces Tigres. America should win because they are at home and Tigres are still doing badly…poor Kikin! But you never know. America has not shown much lately. Sunday should be interesting.
Here’s the rest of the schedule:
Friday
Veracruz vs. Necaxa
Saturday
Chiapas vs. Morelia
Monterrey vs. Santos
Guadalajara vs. Cruz Azul
Pachuca vs. Toluca
Atlante vs. San Luis
Sunday
UNAM vs. UA de G
Puebla vs. Atlas
America vs. UANL

i think chivas/cruz azul is more of a big game in name only. as a cruz azul fan i hope that chivas show up, but they have been playing horribly this season. they have even less points than america who have been torn apart in the media. anyway it should be an exciting jornada.

Agreed Mirna, it makes me sick that we cannot progress past this mind set. WE have the talent pool, and you and I are watching it waste away on the bench.
