Oswaldo Sanchez Arrested in Chicago.

By: Albert | June 10th, 2008

After some rumors of him arriving at the hotel at 5, 6 AM in the morning, his story was told by saying that his wife had accompanied him to an evening dinner, then they returned to the room of some teammates who were listening to music. Apparently they were warned twice to turn it off, the third time police arrived and Oswaldo tried to calm down the situation, but he may have got riled up and the police mace’d him and arrested him.

He was in jail for about 3 hours, and is very surprised to have this happen to him. He says that they didnt forgive nor understand his reasoning when he tried to avoid any problems when the police arrived. He admits not lowering the music when told by the Hotel staff and that it was their mistake.

I wouldnt doubt the police going a bit overboard, but we all know Oswaldo to be a bit of a spazzo. Seems he was just trying to be a leader, a captian and get his buddies out of trouble.

What would have Memo done? :)

Some can say he was arrested because he is MEXICAN, other can argue that it was a legitimate arrest due to law violation. The reality is that he was handcuff and taken by THE POLICE. A player representing a national team can not behave in a way that might or might not be consider against the law or covered his actions on racial profiling justifications – where ever he is at.
