Too much Love for the Red and White!

By: Albert | June 25th, 2008

Gonzalo Pineda was supposed to go to Atlante, it was in the Draft and everything. The move motivated by Efrain Flores, the Chivas Head Coach. This may end up causing problems for Gonzalo as he will have to prove himself to Flores and earn his spot on the starting lineup. Flores wanted the move for some reason.

Talk has even occurred about Gonzalo possibly being sent to Primera A. Gonzalo has stated if that happens, that he will gladly go and compete and give his all. What a guy. Passing up going to Cancun to party, err I mean play and give your best effort, he chooses Chivas love and rojiblanco passion.

Nice.

I like Pineda but.. could it also have anything to do with missed Atlante payments to players?

Seeing as only Mexican’s can play for Chivas I would assume that it is somewhat of an honor for Pineda to get a contract there…and I’m sure the money doesn’t hurt. It is no secret that Atlante has had financial problems.
